Analog fun, evolved.
Traditionally an analog experience, Farkle is a family favorite dice game. Evolving the gameplay through an interactive game table addresses current player pain points. The driving force behind this redesign was to encourage more, and deeper, connections between family and friends.
Farkle has connected my family over decades, and generations. Playing is a right of passage since there’s a certain level of math and strategy required. Evolving Farkle into a (partially) digital experience will help younger players learn the rules and strategies through progressive practice, and potentially allow for gameplay across geographical locations.
How it started.
My family plays using a wooden dice tower, originally built by an uncle and passed down. Each person takes turns rolling, assessing, and strategizing their next move. For younger players or those new to the game, this can be a bit tricky.
Table Schematic
Up to 6 players can participate in a game of Farkle at the interactive game table. The tabletop is designed to read the dice after a roll and make play recommendations.
